Dust off your suitcase and get your swimsuit ready, because getting on a flight to Byron Bay has never been cheaper.
After months of lockdown, vaccinated residents of NSW will soon be treated to heavily discounted fares to some of the state’s most in-demand regional areas.
To celebrate the announcement of the NSW Government’s reopening of travel for fully vaccinated people from October 18, Qantas and Jetstar will be launching a special sale for NSW regional travel.
From midday September 10, there will be tens of thousands of discounted flights available on several routes across both carriers, including $39 fares from Sydney to Byron Bay via Jetstar, and $109 flights to Orange with Qantas.
The lengthy lockdown for the state saw a multitude of holiday plans cancelled, and this sale couldn’t come at a better time.
“After months in lockdown we know that many people in New South Wales are keen to get away on holidays or see family and friends,” a spokesperson for Qantas said.
“With the NSW Government expected to reopen regional travel around the state from mid-October, we are offering discounted fares to make it even easier for people to get out and see their own backyard as well as see family and friends.”
The travel periods for the discounted fares for both Qantas and Jetstar will be available between October 18 and mid-December, and mid-January to the end of March 2022.
Qantas discounted fares to/from Sydney include:
– Albury from $99

– Moree from $99
– Tamworth from $99
