Aussie passengers will have more choice when booking their next domestic trip as another airline ramps up its services.

Regional Express Airlines will return more of its planes to the skies after lockdowns and travel restrictions saw them grounded earlier this year.

Rex is reinstating many of its suspended routes from Monday, with the first flight on the busy Sydney-to-Melbourne route departing at 7am.

The Australian carrier flagged late last month it would resume domestic Boeing 737-800 services between Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra from November 15.

Rex has said its intrastate regional services will be also be ramped up from Monday.

Services to Adelaide and the Gold Coast are expected to follow once South Australia and Queensland reach their 80 per cent double-dose vaccination targets.
